Would you like to know more about these 3 oils. Keep reading and you’ll see why I’m so excited to receive (and give to myself) a set!

Red Mandarin Essential Oil

The key component in Red Mandarin essential oil is limonene. When you think of limonene you want to think of it as the ‘cleansing’ property. So Red Mandarin has antiseptic and toning properties. Red Mandarin essential oil is cold pressed from the peel of the nearly ripe fruit, Mandarin oil yields a sweet, fragrant aroma, having calming, soothing and cheering effect, as well as beneficial for skincare. The scent of the Red Mandarin oil is not as sharp as other citrus oils yet it is stronger. So only a small amount is needed. Red Mandarin does also not evaporate as quickly as other citrus essential oils

Benefits & Uses

Digestive Aid

Red Mandarin essential is oils widely known for its benefit to the digestive system. Red Mandarin has a similar action to Ginger and Peppermint essential oils, as it’s a digestive stimulant and mild antispasmodic. Good for those tummy upsets. Rub a few drops in almond oil and gently rub across your tummy. The next time you have an upset stomach issue try taking 1-2 drops of Red Mandarin oil internally or rub topically on your stomach

Liver Metabolism

Red Mandarin is a wonderful oil for supporting the liver for many different reasons. It helps the liver maintain proper discharge of bile. It also helps protects the liver from infections. Red Mandarin essential oil also help strength the liver and optimizes its functions. The liver is your main metabolic organ. So if you want to support your metabolism — support your liver!

Skin Tone

Red Mandarin essential oil help clarify our skin. It does this by promoting the growth of new cells. Have you ever been tempted to pay for expensive skin treatments done by a professional? For many of these treatments the goal is to increase the growth of new skin. And Red Mandarin essential oil can do the same thing – less expensive and easier to use! To try this out: just add 1-2 drops of Red Mandarin to your favorite serum or moisturizer.

Lymph and Blood Circulation

Another skin benefit of Red Mandarin is that it helps increase blood flow, especially blood flow that is under the skin. This is another huge reason why people look to invasive chemical peels (and are red for days after). It’s because these treatments increase blood flow, which leads to cells regenerating. So if you want to get your skin looking its best just add 1 drop of Red Mandarin to your serum or moisturizer.

Maintains Skin Moisture Balance

Red Mandarin essential oil helps keep skin hydrated and give us women that “dewey” hydrated look that we want. As we age our skin dries quicker and so it’s important to help it stay hydrated. To give your skin this dewey look just add 1 drops of Red Mandarin essential oil to your favorite serum or moisturizer.

Did You Know

Did you know Mandarin oil is one of the safest essential oils and is particularly recommended for children? Its relaxing properties make it ideal for soothing restlessness, and hyperactivity in children. It has a slightly hypnotic effect and is useful for promoting a restful night’s sleep. Switch off with a blend of chamomile and mandarin oil.

Do not use on the skin before exposure to sunlight

Kumquat Essential Oil

Native to Asia, Kumquats are a member of the citrus family and resemble small oranges. Kumquat oil contains limonene, the “purifying” component that we find valuable. Kumquat essential oil comes from the peel and is cold pressed.

Benefits & Uses

In Vietnam, they use the kumquats to make a syrup for sore throats in children.  The essential oils help remove mucus & helps prevent infection.  Try adding a few drops of oil to honey. Add to tea to help treat bronchitis, as the oil have muscle relaxants that can relieve coughing.

Because of the flavonoids in Kumquats, the essential oil can aid poor circulation.  Try adding to your favourite carrier oil and giving your legs a gently massage.

Do you love doTERRA’s Purify blend of essential oils as much as I do? Well, think of Kumquat as an ‘internal Purify’. It helps purify everything from kitchen counters to the cardiovascular system.

Kumquat essential oils is a benefit to anyone wanting to experiencing inflammation. Inflammation is usually caused by a decreased immune system. Prolonged inflammation leads to our body becoming out of balance. To experience these anti-inflammatory properties put 1-2 drops in a glass of cold ice water. You can also apply topically to localized areas of concern.

Bowel Motility & Digestion

Do you need a bit of help getting your gut to function properly? If so, try Kumquat oil! You can put 1-2 drops in water or rub on topically to your lower abdomen.

Detox Enzymes

Another amazing benefit of Kumquat essential oil is that it contains detox enzymes. These detox enzymes help dissolve fat sludge throughout the body. And it help with cholesterol gallstones.

Appetite Control

Kumquat essential oil is also known to have mild appetite controlling properties. So the next time you need to ward off those afternoon munchies just put a couple drops of Kumquat oil in some water and enjoy!

Surface Cleaner

Release the citrus aroma as a surface cleanser, or add to diffuser.  Turn those ugly kitchen smells into a sweet uplifting fragrance.

Morning Route

Stimulate your senses and revitalize your mind by adding a few drops to your favourite shampoo for a refreshing hair wash. For a fresh morning, try adding a drop to your favorite toothpaste.

Sunny Citrus Essential Oil (blend)

What’s not to love about Sunny Citrus, uplifting, stress reducing, helping promote positivity. Sunny Citrus is a blend that contains fractionated coconut oil, Grapefruit, Wild Orange, and Peppermint. Sunny Citrus blend merges the benefits of sweet citrus oils with fresh mint, creating an uplifting and invigorating scent.

Start your day with an uplifting blend of Sunny Citrus Oil by adding a couple drops to your body wash and wake up your senses.  Release the citrus & peppermint aroma as a surface cleanser, or add to diffuser.  Add a couple drops to a kitchen towel and place in your rubbish bin.

The combination of citrus + peppermint is one of my people’s favorite blends to diffuse while at work, or during a class. These two oils together help people stay focused and engaged, while uplifting their mood. To try this add a few drops of Sunny Citrus blend to your diffuser.
